Dhaka: Sylhet college student Khadija Akter Nargis on Saturday sought blessings from everyone to help her recover early.

‘I am well. Please pray for my early and full recovery,’ she said at a press conference at Square Hospital in the capital.

Director of Medical Services of the Hospital Mirza Nazim Uddin told reporters that she is now well as she can take her meals herself and also she can read. Now she needs to undergo therapy for her rehabilitation, Mirza added.

Khadija, a second year Degree student of Sylhet Govt Women’s College, was stabbed on October 3 by Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) unit BCL leader Badrul Alam on her way home in Sylhet city after appearing at an examination, for refusing to have a relationship with him.

Khadija was first taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital from where she was taken to Square Hospital for better treatment.
