Keraniganj: Huge valuables were gutted in a fire that broke out at a plastic factory in South Keraniganj here on Monday.

Keraniganj Fire Station in-charge M Manjurul Hasan said the fire originated at ‘Prime PIT and Plastic Factory’ in Chunkutia-Bangalbari area at noon.

On information, five fire-fighting units rushed in and doused the blaze after two hours of efforts.

However, there was no injury in the fire.

They will be able to ascertain the amount of losses and the reason behind the fire after investigation, said Manjurul.
