Dhaka:  Police recovered body of a young man near Lalbagh cremation ground in the old town of Dhaka early on Sunday.

Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. However, the man was in his twenties.

The Lalbagh police Officer-in-charge Moniruzzaman said primarily it has been known that the man was stabbed to death with a sharp weapon. Unidentified miscreants killed him and left the body near the embankment area beside Lalbagh cremation ground on Saturday night.

The OC said the body was sent to Mitford Hospital for autopsy.
