Jessore: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a fugitive accused and member of banned militant outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir, Bangladesh from Bangram village of Abhaynagar upazila in Jessore on Wednesday.

The arrestee is Mohammad Ataur Rahman, in his forties, resident of Bangram village in Abhaynagar upazila.

Assistant superintendent of police Mohammad Khodadad Hossain of RAB-6 said on secret information, a team led by him launched a drive at the village and arrested the fugitive in the afternoon.

Later, the arrested was handed over to Abhaynagar Police Station, he added.
