Habiganj: Chief Justice SK Sinha said on Thursday said the judiciary is functioning independently in Bangladesh.

He made the remarks while speaking at a reception accorded to him at Shachi Angan Dham in Bahubal, Habiganj.

The chief justice also praised the judges working in the district, saying their strict stance on granting bail to criminals has led to a sharp fall in crimes here.

At the programme, he also unveiled the cover of a book titled ‘Shri Chaitanya Porikroma’.
