Savar: An assistant of a minibus driver was killed and around 20 workers were injured the vehicle plunged into a roadside ditch at Genda bus stand area on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway in Savar in the early hours of Sunday.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. The body was sent to Savar Model Police station. The injured were admitted to Enam Medical College Hospital.

The Savar Model Police Officer-in-charge SM Kamruzzaman said a minibus carrying workers of Al Muslim Garments factory was travelling to Ulail area, when it neared Genda area of Savar the bus plunged into a road side ditch and left one killed and twenty injured.
