World Bank’s 16 cars, passbooks summoned
Dhaka: The Customs Intelligence Directorate summoned sixteen cars of World Bank’s Bangladesh branch and those vehicles’ record books on charges of exploiting duty-free facilities.
Customs Intelligence Directorate Director General Dr Moinul Islam Khan on Wednesday morning told NTV Online sixteen cars, their passbooks, and documents were summoned on charges of tax evasion.
He said citizens of several countries including Koreans are working in Bangladesh branch of World Bank. They enjoyed the facility of using duty-free vehicles and were asked to use documents and passbooks for keeping records of their movements.
