Bangladesh in pre quarter-final thrashing Myanmar

Dhaka: Bangladesh stayed in the last 16 team race of the 4th Roll Ball World Cup after 11-0 victory against Myanmar in their Group D third match at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium (SSIS) in Mirpur on Sunday.
In the day’s match, Ridoy Hosen scored three goals. Arafat Alam, Sagor Hossain and Waliur Rahman scored two goals each. Nowsif Hossain Dipro and Intisar Ahmed added one goal each for the winners.
With the day’s victory, Bangladesh maintained the top position in the five-team group table with three successive victories, starting their campaign with 19-1 goals victory against Hong Kong, followed by a 9-2 goal victory against Bhutan.
The 7th ranked in the World Roller Skating, Bangladesh will play their last group match against Fiji was due to held at Shaheed capt M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium, Paltan on the day.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Women’s team also advanced to the last 16 having walkover against Philippine in the day’s match scheduled to play at the same venue.
Bangladesh Women’s side collected four points form two match, starting their campaign with an 8-2 goal win against Nepal at SSIS on Saturday.
In another match at SSIS, defending champion India outplayed Ivory Coast by 9-4 goals to stay in the last 16 team battles as Group B topper.
