PM has no trust in people, says Rizvi
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Monday claimed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina does not trust people as they have ‘rejected’ her.
Addressing a press conference at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office, he also said the Prime Minister was suffering from a ‘psychological problem’ whereby she needs mental treatment.
He came up with the remarks against the backdrop of the Prime Minister’s remarks that people eat to their hearts’ content whenever Awami League is in office while they get hollow rice if they vote for the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’.
Sheikh Hasina made the comments while addressing a rally in Bogra on Sunday, reports UNB.
Rizvi alleged that people had protected their ‘chastity wearing fishing net’ and ate banana leaves to satisfy their hunger while Awami League was in office. ‘She (PM) doesn’t understand people’s sufferings living a lavish life at Ganobhaban,’ he said.
Replying to a query, the BNP leader said the immediate past Election Commission and the new one are the two sides of the same coin.
He also said BNP does not do politics giving undertaking to any other country.
