Dhaka: A Dhaka court rejected a bail petition of SA TV Head of Programme Zeenat Zereen Altaf in a case filed against her over embezzling money, attempt to murder, fraud and cheating.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sharafuzzaman Ansari rejected the bail petition after conducting a hearing on Sunday.

Earlier, on 11 March, Dhaka Metropolitan’s Pranab Kumar Hui sent Zeenat Zereen Altaf to jail.

Police arrested Zeenat Zereen Altaf at her Dhanmondi residence on 10 March at about 9:00pm. 

Dhanmondi police station Officer-in-charge (OC) Abdul Latif said Altaf was wanted in a case file by one Rownak alias Momin.
