Dhaka: Two children were reportedly molested after they went to join a DJ (Disc Jockey) party in front of their residents at Jatrabari in Dhaka in the early hours of Sunday.

Family members recovered the children from an under construction building in the area at about 12:00am, said the Jatrabari police Duty Officer Mohammad Kamal Hossain Munshi.

Police said the children are around 11 year old. They are class IV and V students of a local school.

The children were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s One Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) for medical test.

The police official said the families brought the minors to the police station at about 4:00am. Later, police sent them to hospital.

Quoting the victims’ family, police said the children went to watch a DG party on Saturday evening. However, they did not back home for a long time.

Later, the family members recovered them in sickening condition from an under construction building.

The children told families a gang of local young men, Rabbi, Yasin, Rifat, and Jahid, forcefully took them to the building when they were returning home and sexually molested them.

Police held Yasin Patwari, in his twenties, for his alleged involvement in this connection.
