4th round of Dhaka Premier League Cricket begins Wednesday

Dhaka: The 4th round of the 12-team Dhaka Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League begins Wednesday after a four-day recess for inclement weather.

Three matches will be held on the day at three separate venues adjoining areas of the capital.
Defending champions and joint league leader Dhaka Abahani Limited will face Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah, another joint league leader Gazi Group Cricketers will play last time runners-up Prime Doleshwar SC at BKSP ground-3 while Legends of Rupganj will encounter Kalabagan KC at BKSP ground-4 on Wednesday.

In the remaining 4th round matches on Thursday, other joint league leader Prime Bank Cricket Club will play all-losers Victoria Sc at BKSP ground-4, Dhaka Mohammedan SC will encounter Khelaghar SKS at Fatullah Stadium while two other all losers teams-Brothers Union Club and Partex SC -will meet each other at BKSP ground-3 in savar.

National cricketers except world number one all rounder Shakib Al Hasan and cutter master Mustafizur Rahman, will get the opportunity to play the last league match before their departure for England to play in the Tri-Nation series, also involving New Zealand.
Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, now busy with their Indian Premier League (IPL) engagements, are expected to join Bangladesh squad on May 4.

After the 3rd round of the league matches, three teams-Gazi Group Cricketers, Dhaka Abahani Limited and Prime Bank CC-jointly dominating the league securing full six points from straight three matches while three other teams-Victoria SC, Brothers Union and Partex SC-are yet to open the account despite playing three matches.
