Chittagong: Four people were killed and nine others injured as a truck collided with a human-hauler on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar Highway at Koshaipara in Chandnaish upazila.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be known.

Sub-inspector Delwar Hossain of Chandnaish Police Station said the Cox's Bazar-bound truck collided with the human-hauler around 4 pm, leaving four people dead on spot and nine others injured.

The injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital, he said.

The accident halted traffic on the highway for an hour, causing sufferings to the commuters.
