Indian Member of Parliament from Kerala, Shashi Tharoor took to Twitter to praise the Bangladesh cricket team skipper Mashrafe Mortaza.

In a tweet posted hours before the ICC Champions Trophy final match between India and Pakistan, Shashi Tharoor tweeted ‘A brilliantly sane perspective on cricket from Bangladesh’s philosopher-captain Mashrafe @IamMortaza. Applaud the real heroes, enjoy the game.’

Tharoor seemed impressed by one of Mortaza’s quotes in which he said that labours, farmers, are the real stars, and not just the cricketers, reports crictracker.com.

Shashi Tharoor added the photo of this Mashrafe’s quote ‘The labourers are the stars, they build the country. What have we built using cricket? Does paddy grow on the cricket field? Those who make courtyards using bricks, make things at factories, grow crops in the fields- they are the stars.’

The tweet from the veteran politician got a great response on Twitter.
