Dhaka: The government has appointed Md Nazmul Islam as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to Sweden.

Nazmul Islam, a career diplomat of 15th BCS (Foreign Affairs), joined Foreign Service in 1995.

Currently, he is serving as Director General (Administration, GS & ICT) at Foreign Ministry.

In his distinguished diplomatic career, Nazmul Islam served as the Consul General in Jeddah and Counsellor in Beijing.

He also served in Bangladesh Missions in Jakarta and London in different capacities, according to the Foreign Ministry here.
