ACC to sue GM of Natore Palli Bidyut Samity-2
Dhaka: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is set to file a case against general manager of Natore Palli Bidyut Samity-2 Nitai Kumar Sarkar for allegedly acquiring illegal wealth.
The Commission at its regular meeting on Tuesday decided to file a case against him, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
Earlier in 2016, the ACC asked Nitai Kumar to submit his wealth statement to it after receiving a specific graft allegation, and as per the ACC's directive he submitted his wealth report to the Commission on October 5, 2016.
During the ACC's probe, it was found that Nitai accumulated wealth worth Tk 22.88 lakh beyond his known source of income.
ACC deputy director of its Pabna office Md Abu Bakar Siddique conducted an investigation against the Palli Bidyut general manager.
