Plan to bowl on good line and length: Shakib

Dhaka: Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan said their plan would be to maintain good line and length bowling on the second day to restrict their opponent batsmen.

"Our plan will be to maintain good line and length against the Australian batsmen ... getting wicket is matter of luck but delivering a good length is in our capacity which we will try to apply on the second day, said Shakib at a post match press conference at Sher-eBangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur

It was a challenge for us ... we think we were able to apply properly with a good partnership today .. maybe we are in an advantageous position but since second day is a new day and we have to take still seven wickets ... they have some good players and focus will be on them to send back as early as possible, said the all-rounder to a questioner.

Asked to commenting about Nathan Lyon's comment on subcontinent wicket, Shakib said obviously they (Australia) would be a little bit under pressure as their recent form in this subcontinent is not good ... . Bangladesh's wicket is different compared to the wicket of Sri Lanka and India ... so it will be not easy for them to play on this wicket.
