Uzbek Govt hands over relief goods to BDRCS for Rohingyas

The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) on Monday received supports from the government of Uzbekistan with a view to providing the humanitarian assistance to the people fled from Rakhine state of Myanmar to Bangladesh.
Each of 8000 vulnerable families (about 50 thousand people) will get 14 types of food and other essential items including puffed rice (Muri), sugar, beaten rice (chira), peanut, milk powder, biscuit, mosquito net, sari, Lungi, blanket, T-shirt and pant set (children), sandle, basic medicines and drinking water, reports the UNB.
The representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan handed over these relief goods as a humanitarian aid to Bangladesh Red Crescent Society at BDRCS NHQ.
Chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder, received the goods from Farhod Arziev, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan.
Hafiz Ahmed Mazumder and representatives from Government of Bangladesh sincerely thanked the Government of Uzbekistan for coming forward to provide such necessary humanitarian assistance to the people from the Rakhine State of Myanmar.
