Rohingya crisis should be resolved at int’l platform: Noman

Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) vice-chairman Abdullah Al Noman on Tuesday said the Rohingya crisis should be resolved at the international platform instead of the bilateral table.
"We want to say that the Myanmar's Rohingya crisis needs to be settled at the international stage," he said while addressing a discussion in the city.
The BNP leader said they do not think that Myanmar will reach a solution through bilateral negotiation. "We don't think they'll respond to our call."
There is no alternative to a national unity to face the Rohingya crisis, he said, asking the government to raise a stronger voice to the world community to force the Myanmar government to take back Rohingyas from Bangladesh ensuring their all rights.
Bangladesh Youth Forum arranged the discussion at National Press Club marking the 10th jail release day of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and her eldest son and BNP senior Vice-chairman Tarique Rahman.
