‘Doctors expect Mayor Annisul to make full recovery in 2 months’

Dhaka: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq, who is undergoing treatment at a London hospital, will make a full recovery within the next two months, hope physicians.
Mizanur Rahman, personal assistant to the mayor, on Thursday said Annisul is gradually recovering from the illness and he can now take breath from himself. "Doctors are hopeful about his recovery within two months," he told news agency UNB over phone.
Meanwhile, the family members of the mayor met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is now staying in London, at a hotel on Wednesday evening, said the personal assistant.
As the PM is also sick, she could not visit the DNCC mayor at the hospital, he said quoting the family members.
Sheikh Hasina inquired about the mayor's condition from his family members, Mizanur said, adding that she wished him an early recovery.
Annisul is now undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital in London, according to family sources.
Annisul who had been suffering from neurological problem (dizziness and lack of balance) was diagnosed with cerebral vasculitis at the London hospital. The mayor got admitted to the hospital on August 13.
Annisul flew to London in the last week of July on personal purpose.
