Dhaka: Customs officials on Sunday seized seven kilograms of gold worth about Tk 3.5 crore from a flight of Singapore Airlines at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

Based on secret information, a team of customs intelligence conducted a drive on the flight ‘SQ446’ coming from Singapore landed at the airport at midnight, said Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Director General Moinul Khan.

The gold was detected after scanning a consignment of clothes, he added.
