PRAN bags $5 million spot orders at Anuga 2017
Dhaka: PRAN, Bangladesh's leading food processor, bagged export orders worth USD 5 million at Anuga-2017, one of largest food and beverage exhibitions in the world.
PRAN received the orders from the importers of 35 countries, said a press release.
Over 7400 companies from 107 countries participated in the fair held at Koelnmesse Exhibition Center in Cologne, Germany.
The five-day fair began on October 7.
This time PRAN Group participated in the fair for the 14th times.
Assistant General Manager of PRAN Export Golam Rasul said that the group displayed over 500 products in two stalls. Juice, confectionary and bakery items were the center of attraction among the buyers.
Md Mizanur Rahman, chief operating officer at PRAN Export, said that PRAN received fabulous response from the buyers in the exhibitions.
He also said that the main purpose of participating in the exhibition is to expand export market.
PRAN products are now being exported to 134 countries.
Columbia now has been added in the list as importer of the country booked order in the fair.
The Group has exported $231 million worth of products in 2016-17 fiscal year.
