Natore: Three people were killed and five others injured as an auto rickshaw collided head-on with tractor at Sadar upazila in Natore on Thursday afternoon.

The accident took palce at Dalsharak area on the Natore-Bogra Highway of the upazila at about 12:45pm.

Two among the deceased are Shariful Islam, in his thirties, and Reshma Begum, around 33 years old, resident of the village of Bhubonpara at the upazila.

The injured were taken to Natore Sadar Hospital. However, their identities could not be known.

The Natore fire service Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) Akhter Hossain said a mud-laden tractor collided head on with an auto rickshaw and left three people dead on the spot.

Fire workers are working to recovered the damaged vehicles.
