Dhaka: Three bodies were found at the suspected militant den of West Nakhalpara where RAB members have been conducting drive since early hours of Friday, said RAB officials.

Tipped off that a gang of militants were staying on the fourth floor of a six-storey building named Rubi Villa at West Nakhalpara, a RAB team cordoned off the building around 2:30am, said Mufti Mahmud Khan, Director (Legal and media wing) of RAB.

Sound of bomb explosion has been heard several times from the suspected militant den.

RAB Director General Benjir Ahmed on Friday morning said, ‘There are three bodies found lying inside the building. Two national identity cards of Jahid and Sajib were also found on the spot. However, the photos of the NID cards are same. It is believed that the cards belong to the same person.’

However, RAB detained the house owners and several others for primary interrogation in this connection.

A bomb disposal unit reached at the spot at about 7:00am.
