5 killed in Faridpur road crash

Faridpur: At least five people were killed in a road accident in front of Brac office at Bhanga intersection in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on Wednesday morning.
Of the deceased, two are Abul Hossian, in his thirties, driver of auto-bike, resident of Panchkul Maligram, Khaleda Begum, in his twenties, wife of Shahidul Islam, a resident of Chowdhury Kanda area in Bhanga municipality.
The accident took place when a Gazipur-bound bus of Ema Paribahan from Khulna collided head-on with a utility vehicle used for public transport (auto-bike) around 8:00am, leaving four auto-bike passengers and its driver dead on the spot, said Ezazuddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhanga Highway Police Station.
On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
