DB official for banning mobile phone use
Dhaka: The leakage of question papers of the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations could be prevented banning the use of mobile phones by all involved in the exam process, said a top official of the Detective Branch (DB) of police on Sunday.
Abdul Baten, DB joint commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said some dishonest persons who were involved in the exam process capture the image of the question paper by their mobile phones just before the examination begin and leak it through different social media apps, reports the UNB.
He came up with the remark at a press conference at the DMP Media Centre.
Baten said the incident of question paper leakage takes place just 15-30 minutes before the examination begins. ‘Some dishonest officials take the screenshot of the question paper by their mobile phones or by hidden electronic devices and leak it on social media apps 15-30 minutes before the start of the exam.’
Earlier, on Saturday, the detectives arrested at least 14 people in the connection with the question paper leakage of the ongoing SSC and its equivalent examinations.
