Dhaka: A scuffle took place between the followers of Indian Tabligh Jamaat leader Maulana Saad Kandhalvi and their rivals in the city’s Kakrail Mosque.

Additional Commissioner of Police (ADC) of Ramna zone HM Azimul Haque said additional police were deployed around the area to control the situation, reports the UNB.

He said they settled the matter through a peaceful dialogue between the two groups, he said.

Tabligh Jamaat man Zunayed Siddique alleged that the anti-followers of Maulana Saad captured the mosque with some Qawmi Madrasah students who have no connection with Tablighi Jamaat.
