Namaz-e-Janaza of Financial Express Editor Moazzem Hossain held

Dhaka: A namaz-e-janaza of AHM Moazzem Hossain, Editor of The Financial Express, was held at the Jatiya Press Club on Thursday noon.

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, PM’s media affair adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Awami League and BNP leaders and journalists attended the janaza, reports the UNB.

Earlier,  his three other namaz-e-janazas were held at his residence at Ramna Tower, 125 Boro Moghbazar at 10am,  at The Financial Express office at 11:30 am and at Southeast Bank head office at Motijheel at 11:45am.

AHM Moazzem Hossain died at a city hospital on Wednesday at the age of 73.

He is survived by wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.

The veteran journalist will be buried at Azimpur Graveyard after Zohr prayers.

Hossain was the publisher of The Financial Express on behalf of the newspaper’s owning company — International Publications Limited (IPL). He was also the managing director of IPL.
