Bagerhat: A man was slaughtered allegedly by his son at Ali Bazar in Morelganj upazila early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Yunus Ali Hawlader, 70, reports the UNB.

Quoting witnesses, Thakur Das Mandal, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Morelganj Police Station, said Yunus’s son Lal Miah Hawlader, 45, attacked his father and slaughtered him with aa sharp weapon around 4:30am over family feud.

Later, locals caught Lal Miah and handed him over to police.

Police recovered the body.
