Pabna: The bodies of three people, who went missing as a boat sank in the Chalan Beel in Chatmohar upazila on Friday evening, were recovered on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Momtaz Pervin Sheuli, 45, wife of scientific officer Billal Hossain Goni of Ishwardi Regional Agricultural Research Station, Shahanz Pervin Parul, wife of Mosharraf Hossain Musa, and Sadia Khatun, 12, daughter of Rafiqul Islam Swapan, reports the UNB.

A team of divers recovered the body of Sheuli around1:10am, said Chatmohar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Oshim Kumar.

Two other bodies were retrieved in the morning.

Besides, two other people-- Billal and Rafiqul Islam Swapan, son of Saidur Rahman Biswas of Ambagan in Ishwardi upazila-are still missing.

Five people went missing as a boat sank in the beel around7:30 pm on Friday when a crack developed at its bottom.
