Dhaka: An army personnel was crushed under the wheels of a train at a level crossing near Banani Rail Station in city’s Cantonment area on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Corporal Abdur Razzak.

Yeasin Faruk, officer-in-charge of Kamalapur Railway Police Station, said the accident took place around 7:40 am when a train hit him, leaving him dead on the spot.
