Voting suspended in 2 Noakhali polling stations

Noakhali: The voting in two polling stations of Noakhali-3 and Noakhali-1 constituencies were suspended as miscreant snatched away ballot papers and other election materials on Sunday.

Ruhul Amin, assistant returning officer of Sharifpur Primary School center in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali-3, said that a group of miscreants snatched the polls materials early in the morning.

There were total 1775 voters in the centre, he added.

Later, they decided to suspend voting.

Besides, the voting was suspended at Nawabpur Government Primary School centre under Noakhali-1 around 9:30am as miscreants snatched away ballots and election materials from there.

Besides, an ansar member was injured in an attack by some miscreants.
