Dhaka: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Saturday started a two-week crash programme to reduce the mosquito menace in its region.

DNCC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Md Abdul Hye formally inaugurated the mosquito extermination programme at VIP terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city Saturday afternoon, reports the UNB.

The crash programmer will continue every day except on the 26th March until April 4.

However, the term of the crash program may be extended if necessary, said the CEO.

Larvicide and Malaria Oil B will be sprayed alongside Adulticide through fogger machine in every ward under the DNCC during the crash program.

Among others, local ward councilor Afsar Uddin Khan, DNCC Secretary Rabindra Shree Barua, Chief Health Officer Brigadier General Zakir Hasan, Director of Civil Aviation Authority Mizanur Rahman, Zonal Executive Officer Selim Fakir were present at the program.
