GP launches ‘Music and Bioscope’ for its consumers

New and improved GP Music and Bioscope – the two digital entertainment services by Grameenphone, have been launched on August 11, 2017 at GPHouse.

Dhaka: New and improved GP Music and Bioscope – the two digital entertainment services by Grameenphone, have been launched on August 11, 2017 at GPHouse.

Touted as the ‘Future of Entertainment’, the new digital entertainment platforms are set to change the way people of Bangladesh entertain themselves in the years to come.

GP Music’s newest version now offers both online and offline music streaming with HD music quality. The app holds a vast collection songs ranging from vintage classics to the very latest hits. The new offerings include a completely redesigned interface, live radio stations, easy sync with Facebook and improved functionalities for browsing, searching, downloading and sharing. The music platform now holds more than a million Bangla and English music tracks.

At the launch event, GP Music also announced upcoming new singles and albums from local favorites like Asif Akbar, Suvro Dev, Miles, Minar, Imran, Adit, Mala, Konal, DRockstar Shuvo and many more. Superstar Tahsan also announced the release date of his 7th solo album ‘Obhiman Amar’ exclusively on GP Music platform.

GP also announced the launch of its new live TV app - Bioscope. Bioscope offers around 50 local and international TV channels along with a wide range of popular on-demand contents like full-length movies, dramas, music videos, sports clips, etc. Still, in its beta phase, the platform is free of any subscription charge during the beta period.

Among other Film Director Amitabh Reza, Lyricist Asif Iqbal and other prominent guests were also present on the program.

The hosts also declared the launch of upcoming Eid releases on Bioscope, which includes Feluda in Bangladesh, Eid Drama - Osthir Somoye Shostir Golpo and Bangladesh vs Australia cricket series live broadcasting schedule.

During the launching ceremony, Mohammad Muntasir Hossain, ‎Head of Digital Entertainment at Grameenphone stated his vision for these services, ‘We want to build an entertainment ecosystem for the Bangla speaking audience worldwide. These two services are only our initial steps towards revolutionizing how the Bangla speaking people entertain themselves with Bangla music and video content,’, he says.

Yasir Azman, ‎Deputy CEO and CMO of Grameenphone, said, ‘After the huge success of GP Music, there could not be a better time to re-launch the newest version along with the launching of Bioscope. Going into the future, we want to be the preferred partners in our valued customers’ digital lifestyle and that is why digital entertainment is one of the key focus areas for us. This is just the beginning.’

Users can access GP Music web site (www.gpmusic.co) and Bioscope (www.bioscopelive.com). Both the apps are also available on Google Play Store.
