Parliament: State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim on Monday told parliament that there are some 13 crore mobile SIMs now active in the country.

‘A total of 13,37,20,410 valid SIMs of six mobile operators were active in December 2015,’ she said replying to a starred question from ruling Awami League MP Golam Dastagir Gazi (Narayanganj-1), reports UNB.

Of them, 5,66,79,421 SIMs of Grameen Phone, while 2,83,16,958 of Robi, 3,28,65,116 of Banglalink, 1,07,09,660 of Airtel, 10,06,684 of Pacific Bangladesh Telecom and 41,42,580 of Teletalk.
