The US Embassy in Dhaka recently arranged a special event in honour of Air Quality Awareness Week.

The embassy challenged 14 students to make solar ovens and successfully cook a meal. The students took the challenge and made a functioning solar oven using household items.

Solar ovens are excellent alternative energy options that conserve energy, preserve trees, and reduce releases of carbon dioxide to reduce air pollution.

Air Quality Awareness Week 2019 started on April 29 2019. The theme for this year is Check the AQI & Get Outside.
