India now look entirely different from their dull appearance in the tri-nation series, just before the World Cup. They are now in a flying mood after two consecutive victories against Pakistan and South Africa. It can be said champions are playing like ‘Champions’.

They, I believe, will play in quarter-finals as a top team from Pool A if they can keep their steadiness. It seems they are marching forward keeping that in mind.

Indian batsmen are gradually getting their confidence back. The 307-run in a bouncy wicket is the evidence of that. It is not easy to score more than 300 runs tackling ferocious pace attack of South Africa in a bouncy wicket.

Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane showed great confidence with their bats. India became able to set a big total standing on the Dhawan-Kohli (127 runs) and Dhawan-Rahane (125 runs) partnerships.

Actually, Indian batsmen played without taking any pressure that the Proteas failed to create upon them.

Rather, it has been proved again that South Africa cannot play well under pressure. They could not handle the pressure of huge target and the excellent bowling from India.

The turning point of the match is the run out of AB de Villiers. The final scene would have reversed if the Proteas skipper remained on the crease. It seems South African batsmen were in a hurry and their innings ended quickly for that.
