Comilla, Barisal vie for top spot

Dhaka: In the match 23 of the Bangladesh Premier League 2015 (BPL T20), Comilla Victorians (CV) and Barisal Bulls (BB) are now playing at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka to ensure the top spot at points table.

Table toppers of BPL 2015, Mashrafe Mortaza led Comilla Victorians are now taking on third placed Barisal Bulls  led by Mahmudullah Riad in their eighth match, reported india.com.

The Mashrafe Mortaza-led side registered a five-wicket win over Chittagong Vikings in their seventh match to earn 10 points in the tournament so far. Pakistan’s in form all-rounder Shoaib Malik has added to the strength of the side.

Malik’s smashing 34 off 23 balls helped the Victorians to seal their fifth win of the Bangladesh Premier League 2015. Comilla Victorians allrounder has applauded his captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza who he thinks is an ‘extraordinary leader’.

He has played two matches for the side in this edition of Bangladesh Premier League. As for their opponents, Barisal Bulls faced a humiliating defeat at the hands of Sylhet Super Stars who won by 9 wickets with 52 balls remaining.
