Sent in to bat first, Dhaka Dynamites scored 121 for 8 wickets in 20 overs featuring 56 runs in 8.5 overs in the 5th wicket stand by Kumar Sangakkara and Mosaddek Hossain.

The 5th stand carried the team total to 91/5 in 16.5 overs from 35/4 in 8 overs, before Kumar Sangakkara was caught by Umar Akmal off a Shafiul Islam delivery.

Number six batsman Mosaddek Hossain followed Sangakkara in the very next ball also caught by Umar Akmal off Shafiul Islam.

Kumar Sangakkara hit team highest 38 off 36 balls involving three fours and one six while Mosaddek Hossain scored 24 off 29 balls including three fours.

Number seven Malcolm Waller scored 19 off 10 balls with three fours and one six before being caught by Umar Akmal off a Mohammad Amir delivery at 119/8 in 19.5 overs.

Yasir Shah (10 off 9b; 2x4) and Nasir Hossain (10 off 10b; 2x4) were the other double figure scorers for Dhaka Dynamites.

Opening bat in the 25th BPL match, Dhaka Dynamites lost their four top order batsmen-- Yasir Shah, Shykat Ali, Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Hossain -- for a meager 35 in 8 overs.
