Dhaka: Former Australian leg spinner Stuart MacGill has been appointed as the spin coach of Bangladesh Cricket team for three months.

BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon disclosed it to the pressmen after the Executive Committee meeting of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday.

MacGill will replace Sri Lankan Ruwan Kalpage as the spin coach of Shakib Al Hasan, Mehedi Hasan Miraz and their mates.

The 46-year-old, MacGill had taken 208 wickets with an average of 29.02 playing 44 Tests for Australia. He took five wickets on 12 occasions and 10 or more wickets in two matches.

The BCB also appointed Australian Mark O'Neill as batting coach for just one month to look after the lower order batsmen.
