Dhaka: The condition of BCB Director and former National Cricket Team captain Khaled Mahmud Sujon, who was undergoing treatment at a Singapore hospital after suffering a stroke, has improved further.

Sujon, who was admitted to Gleneagles Hospital early Tuesday, regained his consciousness and could identify his near and dear ones, said a BCB official quoting BCB panel physician Dr Amin, now attending Sujon in Singapore.

He said the NG tube was removed from his nose as he was able to take food through the mouth.

BCB National Team manager Sujon was flown to Singapore on Monday midnight by an air ambulance. His elder brother Ashfaque Ahmed and BCB physician Dr Amin were accompanying him.

Sujon, who was suffered a stroke on Saturday night, was first admitted to Kurmitola Hospital.

Later, he was taken to United Hospital Ltd on Sunday morning as his condition deteriorated.
