Dhaka: Bangladesh cricket team opening batsman Tamim Iqbal on Friday said he wants to focus on team performances in the upcoming two-Test series against visiting Australia.

"No one is special. I think Bangladesh team will go ahead with 11-member team," Tamim said while talking to journalists at a press conference before the Tigers practice sessions at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in Mirpur.

"As we want 2-0 win, we will have to execute our plans on the ground minute by minute without any small mistake," the left-handed opener continued.

Bangladesh want to win both of the matches as a team, said Tamim, adding, "Those side can execute the plan on the ground, has chances to win."

"When we will take the ground, we must aim to win the game but we need to keep back in mind that it's a five-day game," he added.

Mentioning that he and Shakib will play their 50th Test match, Tamim said "if we can not perform well or make a memorable result, then again it will be just a number."

"I'll try to give my best and hope Shakib will do so. If we can make a good result or do well individually then it will be evaluated differently," said the dashing batsman.

Replying to a query, Tamim said both the teams are making plans on spin attack although the English pacers picked up a good number of wickets during Bangladesh-England Test series in October 2016.

"We are not only thinking about spin but also overall departments. We know we are going to play against a highly professional Australian team," Tamim said.

As we want to tackle them, we have to handle their spin and pace bowling attacks nicely, he added.

Mentioning that there are some world-class batsmen in Australia team, Tamim said the plan of Bangladesh will be restrict the Aussies within a minimum score.

The first Test (August 27-31) will be held at SBNCS in Dhaka while the 2nd one (September 4-8) at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
