Pakistan-born Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja offered his Eid prayer in Chittagong on Saturday. He has been staying in the port city of the country along with his team as Australia will play their second and final Test match against Bangladesh starting from 4 September.

Khawaja posted a photo on his Twitter account where he wrote: ‘Grateful to find brothers from across the globe to celebrate. Eid Mubarak to everyone! Inshaallah you have all had a great day. #bangladesh’

Interestingly, one Twitter user replied his tweet saying: ‘Eid Mubarak Usman. Sorry for your loss.’

So, what had he lost?

Well, it was rumoured that the Aussie batsman did not find his shoes after finishing the prayer.

No, did you take em!? https://t.co/CAfiECiUGm

Another Twitter user asked him, ‘did you find your shoes later?’

Usman sportingly replied: ‘No, did you take em!?’

Though it was not confirmed whether the Aussie batsman has really lost his shoes, his sense of humour has been appreciated on the social media.
