Dhaka: Boosted up with four centuries in less than five sessions, South Africa declared 573/4-d the 1st innings after the lunch break of the 2nd day of the 2nd and last Test of the series against Bangladesh at Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein on Saturday.

South Africa skipper and overnight batsman Faf du Plessis (135* off 181b; 15x4) and Quinton de Kock (28*) were unbeaten at the declared close of the innings.

The Proteas started the 2nd session with 530/3 in 113 overs and played 7 overs to add 43 runs more for the cost of overnight batsman Hashim Amla at 535/4 in 114 overs.

Subashis Roy who made the 1st breakthrough for the Tigers on the 1st day, bowled out Amla (132 off 163b; 17x4) to take the 2nd day's only wicket as well as to break the Proteas overnight 4th wicket stand that contributed 247 off 52.4 overs.

On the rain-interrupted second day's play, South Africa resumed the 1st innings with overnight score of 428/3 in 90 overs and raised their tally to 573/4 in 120 overs where Aiden Markram (143) and Dean Elgar (113) were two other centurions on day 1.

Amla and Plessis completed their centuries before the day's lunch break at South Africa's collection of 530/3 in 113 overs where Amla and Plessis were on batting sharing 241 off 51.4 overs, playing 23 overs in the1st day's 1st session to add 102 runs more with their previous collection of 428/3 in 90 overs.

Subashis Roy bagged three wickets for 118 runs in the innings.
