Dhaka: Faizal Saari hit the 2nd hat-trick of the tournament to guide Malaysia to a flying start in the eight-team Hero 10th Men's Asia Cup outplaying China by 7-1 goals in a Pool B match at Maulana Bhashani National Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.

Apart from Faizal Saari's three goals, day's man of the match Tengku Tajuddin scored twice and Shahril Saabah and Ramadan Rosli scored one goal apiece for a comfortable victory for Malaysia.

Wenhui E reduced the margin for China scoring a field goal in the 56th minute.

This well-merited win was not even expected by Malaysian coach Stephen Huizen Van as he while addressing a post-match press conference said, "We didn't expect such a big margin start. Anyhow, a big margin win is always good for a team."

Chinese coach KK Ponacha in the press conference said he doesn't want to recall this bad dream in future. "We want to forget the bad loss and to prepare for the next game."

Tengku Tajuddin put Malaysia ahead by a field goal in the 12th minute of the 1st quarter, and then the winners found two successive field goals scored by Faizal Saari and Tengku Tajuddin in the 17th and 19th minutes respectively.

Faizal Saari scored his 2nd goal from a penalty corner hit in the 31st minute that led the side to (4-0).

Shahril Saabah scored the 5th goal, a field goal, in the 35th minute (5-0).

Faizal Saari completed the 2nd hat-trick of the tournament by another field goal in the 41st minute before Wenhui E reduced the margin for China scoring in the 56th minute, (6-1).

Ramadan Rosli sealed the fate of the match, also by a field goal, in the death-minute of the match (7-1).
