BCB to elect board of directors on Oct 31

Dhaka: The much-talked-about polls for electing the board of directors of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will be held at the BCB board room at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on October 31.

BCB councilors will exercise their voting rights starting from 10 am on the day to elect 23 directors -- 10 from category-1, 12 from category-2 and one from category-3.

The voting will continue till 5 pm.

The draft voter list will be published on October 16 while the final one will be published on the following day after conducting a hearing on the draft list.

Nomination papers will be distributed on Oct 20 and the candidates have to submit their nomination papers on Oct 24.

The scrutiny on the nomination papers will be held on Oct 25.

Later, appeal and hearing on the candidate list will be held on Oct 28 while the aspirants can withdraw their candidature on October 29.

After completing all proceedings, the final candidate list will be published on Oct 29.

Final official results of the election will be published on November 1.
