Dhaka: South Africa whitewashed visiting Bangladesh the three-match series after a huge 200-run victory in the 3rd game at Buffalo Park in East London on Sunday.

Bangladesh conceded a 104-run defeat in the 2nd game at Boland Park in Paarl following a humiliating 10-wicket loss in the 1st ODI at Diamond Oval in Kimberley what gave the hosts to dominate the series.

In the day's match, South Africa restricted Bangladesh on 169/10 in 40.4 overs after posting 369/6 in 50 overs in their innings.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and Sabbir Rahman shared 67 off 26.2 overs in the 6th wicket stand what was the only notable space of Bangladesh innings.

Starting from 61/5 in 14.3 overs, Shakib was caught by substitute fielder JP Duminy off Aiden Markram 128/6 in 30.1 overs to depart from 6th pair, after hammering a half century of 63 off 82 balls, including eight boundaries.

Sabbir followed Shakib soon on the last ball of same over as he was caught behind by Quinton de Kock off Markram on 135/7 in 31st overs, added 39 off 49 balls with six boundaries.

Skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (17) and Mehedi Hasan Miraz (15) were the other double digit scorers for the side.

Dane Paterson captured three wickets for 44 runs in 9 overs. Aiden Markram and Imran Tahir bagged two wickets each for 18 and 27 runs in 3 and 8.4 overs.

Andile Phehlukwayo, Wiaan Mulder and Kagiso Rabada took one wicket each for the side.

Batting first after winning the toss, South Africa posted a huge target of 370 runs riding on three quick half centuries by retired hurt skipper Faf du Plessis, Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram.

Faf du Plessis retired hurt with 91 off 67 balls, including 10 boundaries and one six, after sharing a partnership of 151 off 19 overs in the 3rd wicket stand which started at 132/2 in 21.1 overs after the departure of Quinton de Kock.

De Kock, who shared 119 off 17.5 overs in the opening stand with Temba Bavuma, was caught and bowled by Mehedi Hasan Miraz who made the 1st breakthrough for Bangladesh dismissing Bavuma who was caught by Liton Kuamr Das.

De Kock scored 73 off 68 balls, including nine boundaries and one six, while debutant Aiden Markram was run on 289/3 in 41 overs completing a half century of 66 off 60 balls with four boundaries and two sixes.

Opener Bavuma fell shot by two runs to hit another half century as he scored 48 off 47 runs, including five boundaries.

Farhaan Behardien (33*) and Kagiso Rabada (23*) remained unbeaten till the end while AB de Villiers added 20 runs before he was caught by skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza off Rubel Hossain on South Africa's 325/4 in 45.1 overs.

Miraz captured two Proteas' top order batsmen -- Bavuma and de Kock -- conceding 59 runs in 10 overs.

Pace bowler Taskin Ahmed found took two for 66 in 7 overs as he trapped lbw debutant Wiaan Mulder and found Andile Phehlukwayo being caught by Mushfiqur Rahim.

Rubel got one wicket for 75 runs in 10 overs.

Bangladesh have three wins all on their home soil against South Africa in exchange of 17 losses in 20 occasions b4etween the two nations in the ODI format.

Bangladesh's tour will end after two T20Is against host South Africa. The 1st match will be held at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein on October 26 while the 2nd one at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on October 29.
