Dhaka: Bangladesh wrapped up their over a month-long South Africa tour in a winless streak after an 83-run loss against the hosts in the 2nd and last T20I at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom on Sunday.

The Shakib Al Hasan-led T20I side conceded a 20-run loss in the 1st T20I at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.

With this, South Africa whitewashed Bangladesh -- 2-0 in T20Is, 3-0 in ODIs and 2-0 in Test series - in all three formats in the sereis.

Bangladesh conceded defeats in the 3rd, 2nd and the 1st ODIs by 200 runs, 104 runs and by 10 wickets respectively. They lost the 2nd Test by an innings and 254 runs while the 1st one by 333 runs.

In the day's T20I battle, chasing a huge target of 225 runs, Bangladesh finished on 141/10 in 18.3 overs with Soumya Sarkar top-scoring 44 off 27 balls, including six boundaries and one six.

Soumya was caught by Beuran Hendricks off Aaron Phangiso at 72/5 in 9 overs. Mahmudullah Riyad (24 off 20b; 2x4), Mohammad Saifuddin (23 off 26b; 1x4; 1x6) and Mehedi Hasan Miraz (13 off 10b; 1x6) were the other double digit scorers for Bangladesh.

Skipper JP Duminy and Aaron Phangiso delivered four overs each to bag two wickets apiece for 23 and 31 runs respectively. Robbie Frylinck, Andile Phehlukwayo, Dwaine Pretorius and Beuran Hendricks took one wicket each for the side.

Sent in to bat first, South Africa scored 224 for 4 in 20 overs spurred by man of the match David Miller's maiden T20I ton who remained unbeaten on 101 off 36 balls, including 7 boundaries and 9 over boundaries.

Miller completed the 3rd fastest ton in T20I cricket, jointly sharing with LP van der Westhuizen of Namibia, with 2 runs off Rubel Hossain in the innings 19.4 overs, setting up another record of making the fastest T20I ton for South Africa.

Westhuizen did his fastest one in an unofficial T20I against Kenya in November 2011.

Miller broke the previous record of fastest ton for South Africa by his fellow Richard Levi who faced 45 balls to complete a century on the way to 117* off 51 balls against New Zealand in Hamilton in February in 2012.

Miller, who hit five successive sixes in the 19th over off Mohammad Saifuddin, was adjudged man of the match.

He shared a partnership of 67 off 3.3 overs with Farhaan Behardien (6*) in the unbeaten 5th wicket stand, starting from 157/4 in 16.3 overs after the departure of opener Hashim Amla.

Amla hammered 85 off 51 balls, including 11 boundaries and one six, before being caught by Soumya Sarkar off Saifuddin on 157/4 in 16.3 overs after sharing a partnership figure of 79 off 6.2 overs with Miller.

Saifuddin got AB de Villiers (20 off 15b; 1x4; 1x6), who was caught by Imrul Kayes when South Africa collected 78/3 in 9.5 overs.

Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan sent out Mangaliso Mosehle and South Africa's skipper Jean-Paul Duminy.

Shakib bowled out Mosehle on South Africa's 23/1 in 2.3 overs before bowling out Duminy on 37/2 in his 5th over. Shakib sent back Mosehle to pavilion in his 3rd ball of the 2nd over while Duminy with the last ball of his 3rd over.

Shakib conceded 22 runs for two in 4 overs while Saifuddin got two wickets for 53 runs in 4 overs.
