Dhaka: Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga arrived in Dhaka on Thursday to join Bangladesh Premier League franchise Rangpur Riders. 

Malinga, who is going to play for the first time in BPL, immediately after his arrival in the capital this afternoon, immediately left for Sylhet to join his other team members.

Apart from Malinga, Ranpur Riders recruited Thisara Perera, Kausal Perera, Johnson Charles, Chris Gayle and Ravi Bopara as their foreign signings.

Rangpur Riders will take on Rajshahi Kings in one of the inaugural matches of the tournament scheduled to be held on Saturday (Nov 4)in Sylhet.
