World T20 trophy now in Bangladesh

Dhaka: International Cricket Council World Twenty20 trophy journey commenced on 13 December from Scotland. Travelling seven countries, ICC World Twenty20 trophy was arrived in Bangladesh from Pakistan on Thursday.

The trophy was taken at Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan Papan’s Dhanmondi office in Dhaka. The prestigious silverware will be taken to Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in Dhaka and will be displayed there for cricket fans till 8:00pm on Thursday.

The glittering trophy will be on show from 10:00am to 15:00pm on Friday at the Bashundhara City Shopping Mall.

Bangladesh Cricket Board collaborate with country’s leading consortium Bashundhara Group to arrange this event for the cricket loving people, where they will get a chance to see and capture special moments with this prestigious silverware in the shortest format of the world game.

As special attraction for the viewers, cricketers and BCB officials will also be present during the two-day exhibition.

Following its Bangladesh leg of travel, the trophy will head to Sri Lanka.

The ICC World Twenty20 trophy is visiting 12 countries taking part in the tournament which will be staged in India from 11 March to 3 April 2016.

22-23 December – Netherlands

2-3 January – Zimbabwe

5-7 January – South Africa

11-12 January – Pakistan

14-15 January – Bangladesh

26-31 January – Australia

1 February – arrival in New Delhi
